About Alexandra
Alexandra Jakob is a Sydney-based founder and entrepreneur, renowned for her extensive experience across diverse sectors including education, private investment, technology start-ups, e-commerce, hospitality, and beauty. With a career marked by the founding and successful sale of prominent businesses such as Little Learning School and BondiBoost, Alexandra now leads Globe Wealth, a private investment firm specialising in business strategy, investment management, and partnership building.
In 2006, Alexandra founded Little Learning School and purchased her first childcare centre. Motivated by her experiences as a mother, Alexandra was passionate about providing children with the best possible care and development. She implemented strategic educational programs, a diverse range of extracurricular activities, and above-average staff-to-children ratios. The immediate success of Little Learning School led to rapid expansion across NSW, Canberra, and Melbourne, making it one of Australia’s leading and largest privately owned childcare groups. By 2018, the network comprised over 2,500 employees and 54 centres, culminating in the sale of to Bain Capital Private Equity and Busy Bees (a global child care operator) across two separate transactions.
In 2018, Alexandra founded the cult Australian brand BondiBoost, a haircare brand set for international success. Frustrated by the lack of high-quality, Australian-made hair care products without harmful ingredients, she developed locally produced, salon-grade products with high-performance botanical ingredients. Alexandra’s innovative social media marketing and brand strategy led to rapid growth, surpassing million-dollar revenue within months. The brand expanded to high-end salons and popular retailers like Boots UK, Sephora in the USA and Canada, and Ulta in the USA. In 2022, Private Equity company Gauge Capital acquired BondiBoost, marking another successful business exit for Alexandra.
In 2023, Alexandra ventured into the hospitality sector as a strategic partner and investor in Iberica, a Mediterranean restaurant in Bondi. Known for its artful atmosphere and charming Spanish dishes, Iberica has become a standout in Sydney’s competitive culinary scene.
Since 2024, Alexandra has led Globe Wealth, a private investment firm specialising in business strategy, investment management, and partnership building. Alexandra prioritises building strong relationships and collaborating with exceptional management teams to enhance decision-making and maximise value creation. With a global outlook and a varied investment approach, Globe Wealth focuses on private equity, venture capital, debt funding, and property, with strengths in direct investments across education, real estate, hospitality, and manufacturing.
